A tragic incident in Woolwich has left a 14-year-old boy dead after a stabbing on a bus
Woolwich: A 14-year-old boy was tragically stabbed to death on a bus in south-east London. It all went down on a 472 bus around 2:30 PM. The police reported that it happened near Woolwich Church Road.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, but sadly, the boy died right there. It’s just heartbreaking. The police have set up cordons and are asking anyone who saw anything to come forward.
According to a police spokesperson, they got the call about the stabbing at 2:28 PM. Officers and paramedics arrived quickly, but despite their efforts, the boy couldn’t be saved.
London’s Mayor, Sadiq Khan, expressed his condolences, saying his thoughts are with the boy’s family and the community. He emphasized that this kind of violence has no place in the city.
Khan also mentioned that police will be increasing patrols in the area and urged anyone with information to reach out. Just a day before this incident, another stabbing occurred nearby, leaving an 18-year-old in critical condition.
