A teenager has been charged after a knife was spotted during a bus disturbance in Brighton on Boxing Day
Brighton: A 16-year-old boy is in some serious trouble after being caught with a knife on a bus. This all went down on Boxing Day, and the police are taking it seriously.
So, here’s what happened. Around 6 PM, there was a bit of a ruckus on a bus in the Elm Grove area. Someone spotted a knife, and it caused quite a stir.
Two people were involved in the commotion at the back of the upper deck, and when things got heated, they hopped off the bus. The police got wind of it and started looking into the situation.
Fast forward to January 3, and they arrested a suspect for having a knife in public and for possessing a class B drug. The next day, they charged the 16-year-old boy from Brighton, but we can’t name him because of legal stuff.
He’s been released on bail and is set to appear in court on February 13. Chief Inspector Simon Marchant mentioned that carrying a knife is no joke, and they’re serious about tackling this issue.
Sussex Police are urging everyone to report any knife crime they see. If you ever find yourself in an emergency, don’t hesitate to call 999.
