International hospitality and events firm, Entier, provides quality food services across the world. Closer to home, the business has a production kitchen in Comrie, as well as operations at Glenturret Distillery in Crieff.

The business is committed to investing in its people and has a particular focus on recruiting and developing the young workforce through its Modern Apprenticeship Programme, Fresh Olives.

Lesley Officer, Director of HR at Entier Services said: “At Entier we are committed to employing and supporting young people and can see the real benefits for both us as an international, growing business and the young people we employ. We had engaged with other branches of DYW so the Perth and Kinross team were our obvious partner when recruiting for our operations in Comrie and Crieff.

DYW Perth and Kinross were extremely professional and worked in partnership with us to make the process quick and easy. We are delighted to have our Apprentice Chef, Keiran, on board who is our first Fresh Olive Apprentice to start as an apprentice chef at our production kitchen in Comrie.”

Kieran Kerr has the privilege to be mentored by Wilde Thyme head chef and Scottish Chef of the year finalist, Andrew Laycock and will be the first of many young talented chefs at Entier’s Comrie kitchen to develop their skills under our Fresh Olive apprenticeship programme.

”Before I got this apprenticeship I was full time at School and College. I had started two courses at College, NBA Bakery and Professional Cookery.  I was informed of this apprenticeship opportunity by my hospitality teacher at school who thought it sounded perfect for me and it was. I’ve always had a real passion for cooking and baking so for this apprenticeship to come up was brilliant. In the next 3 years I will be working to my best abilities to gain lots of new and interesting skills and to hopefully graduate at the end of 3 years. I applied for this apprenticeship because of the  great opportunities that Entier has to offer and for me to express my passion for food.”

Entier now also have two additional apprentices in its Fresh Olive programme working in Crieff and Comrie – Molly Rennie from Kilgraston School who is working as an apprentice Event Manager and Callum Morrison who as well as Kieran attended Perth High School.
