Overnight roadworks on the A96 near Colpy will begin January 16, improving over 1200 meters of the trunk road.
Colpy: So, here’s the scoop. Amey is kicking off some overnight roadworks on the A96 starting January 16. They’ll be working until January 31, and it’s all about making the road better.
This project is costing around £570,000 and will cover over 1200 meters of the trunk road. It’s a big deal for the area, and they want to make sure everything’s safe.
The work will happen between Devil’s Folly and just south of Colpy. To keep everyone safe, they’ll use temporary traffic lights from 7:30 PM to 6:30 AM on the first two nights.
After that, they’ll switch to overnight convoy working from January 21 to January 30, still during those same hours. They’re aiming to wrap everything up by 6:30 AM on January 31.
Just a heads up, though—everything depends on the weather. If it doesn’t cooperate, they might have to change plans. So, keep an eye out for updates!
