A 23-year-old faces serious charges after injuring four people with a firework at a crowded event in King’s Lynn
King’s Lynn: So, there was this wild incident at the Fawkes in the Walks event. A 23-year-old named Aidas Berzinskas threw a firework into a crowd, and it left four people injured. Can you believe that?
He showed up at the Lynn Magistrates’ Court and admitted to it. The event was packed with people, and this happened on November 1. It’s just crazy to think about.
Four folks ended up with hand and neck injuries. And get this—he even filmed himself launching the firework on his phone. What was he thinking?
Now, he’s facing some serious charges, including four counts of assault causing actual bodily harm. The magistrates were pretty stern, saying his actions were “so serious” that they had to send him to crown court for sentencing.
He could be looking at up to 18 months in jail for each assault. His next court date is on February 6, and he’s out on bail but can’t go to any public gatherings with more than 20 people. Talk about a tough break!
Oh, and it turns out this isn’t his first run-in with the law. Last January, he was caught with a knife in a kids’ play park. He claimed he was just carving wood to keep busy while out of work. But still, not a great look.
He had some other charges too, like having cannabis. He got fined because he was dealing with back pain after surgery. Just a lot going on for this guy!
