A 24-year-old man was sentenced to 20 months in prison for drug possession in Aldershot
Aldershot: So, there was this 24-year-old guy named Constantin-Ionel Iamandi from New Malden. He got caught with a stash of cocaine and ended up in some serious trouble.
It all went down when police were cruising around and spotted a red Nissan Micra acting a bit shady on Redan Road. They decided to check it out on July 28.
When they searched the car, they found 28 bags of cocaine stuffed inside a sock. Not exactly the best hiding spot, right?
Iamandi didn’t fight it and pleaded guilty to having the drugs and driving without insurance. He was sentenced to 20 months in jail at Winchester Crown Court on January 9.
Police Sergeant Daniel Eaves mentioned that getting Iamandi off the streets was a win for the community. He emphasized how drug dealing brings a lot of harm and crime to the area.
He reassured everyone that the police are on it, working hard to keep drugs out of Hart and Rushmoor. They want to make sure local folks can feel safe and not have to deal with the mess that comes with drug networks.
