Alfons Kojku, 37, was sentenced to five years for drug dealing and driving offences after being stopped on the A14 near Newmarket
Newmarket: A 37-year-old man named Alfons Kojku has been sentenced to five years in prison for his role in drug dealing. He was caught while driving on the A14.
Kojku, who lives on London Road in Peterborough, pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine and driving without a proper license. His sentencing took place at Ipswich Crown Court.
On May 18, police stopped him in a Silver Hyundai as he entered Suffolk. They found cash and two mobile phones, which linked him to drug activities.
Interestingly, he had been arrested before in Essex for similar reasons but hadn’t faced charges then. Now, he’s forfeited over £2,000 in cash that was seized during the investigation.
Sergeant George Laflin from the Sentinel West Team, which led the investigation, emphasized that this case sends a strong message against organized crime and drug dealing in the community.
He noted that the collaboration with Essex police was crucial in achieving this outcome. Now, Kojku will spend a significant time behind bars for his actions.
