An Arizona pastor faces charges for allegedly using a hidden camera to record women in a church bathroom
Phoenix: So, there’s this wild story coming out of Arizona. A pastor named Arturo Laguna got himself into some serious trouble. He’s been indicted for allegedly using a hidden camera to record women in the church bathroom. Can you believe that?
This all went down at his church, Casa de Adoracion. The cops say he set up the camera back in October, and it was discovered when a woman found it after it fell out of a dryer while she was changing her baby. Talk about a shocking moment!
Detectives got a screenshot of Laguna fiddling with the camera, and he eventually admitted to putting it there. When they checked the camera’s SD card, they found videos of women using the bathroom. Just awful!
Now, Laguna is facing multiple counts of voyeurism, which is a big deal in Arizona. If convicted, he could be looking at some serious time behind bars. It’s all about invading privacy for sexual reasons, and that’s no joke.
He leads a church with around 100 members, mostly immigrants, and had even talked about the Latino vote in a recent interview. But now, he’s stuck in custody until his next court date in January. What a turn of events!
We reached out to the Phoenix police for more details, but this whole situation is just shocking and sad.
