Armed police arrested four suspects after a BB gun threat was reported in Herne Bay, causing a significant response from law enforcement.
Herne Bay: So, there was this wild scene in Herne Bay where armed police showed up after some folks in a car were said to have threatened others with a BB gun. Can you believe it?
It all went down near The Smugglers Inn on School Lane. Four people got arrested, including a 14-year-old. They were all taken in after the police got a call about the whole situation.
Apparently, the police were worried there might be a weapon involved, so they sent in the armed officers. Turns out, it was just a BB gun, but they didn’t find it during the arrests.
They nabbed a 19-year-old guy, a 17-year-old girl, and two boys aged 14 and 17, all from the area. They’re looking into public order offenses, whatever that means.
Later on, the police said these four have been bailed out while they keep investigating. It was quite the scene, with armed officers and multiple police cars around.
One witness even caught some footage showing the police with their guns out. It must have been pretty intense! Another local said they saw four police cars blocking the road and even a helicopter buzzing around.
Sounds like the whole town was buzzing with excitement, or maybe just a bit of panic. Either way, it’s not every day you see armed police in action like that!
