Four individuals, including a teenager, were arrested after armed police were seen near a pub in Herne Bay late last night
Herne Bay: Last night was quite the scene outside the Smugglers Inn. Armed police showed up after reports of some trouble involving a car.
It all kicked off around 9:40 PM when someone said that folks in one car were threatening people in another. You can imagine the chaos!
By midnight, there were multiple emergency vehicles parked outside the pub. It must have looked intense with all those flashing lights.
Four people were arrested, including a 14-year-old boy. They were taken in on suspicion of public order offences, but thankfully, no weapons were found.
Witnesses were buzzing about the whole thing. One person even caught some dramatic footage, saying, “They’ve all got their guns out.” Sounds wild, right?
Another local mentioned seeing four police cars blocking the road and a helicopter buzzing overhead. It’s not every day you see that in a quiet town!
People were definitely on edge, wondering what was going on. It’s a relief that it didn’t escalate further, but it sure made for a memorable night in Herne Bay.
