A teenage girl was attacked at the Hollywood Bowl, leading to multiple arrests and an ongoing police investigation
Lakeside: A group of teenage girls caused quite a scene at the Hollywood Bowl. It got out of hand, with one girl getting punched and kicked.
Essex Police said the staff jumped in to help the victim right away. They made sure to report everything to the police after the incident happened around 4 PM on Friday.
The girl did get hurt, but thankfully, her injuries aren’t life-threatening. The police have started an investigation and have already arrested four girls.
Chief Inspector Tony Atkin mentioned that they’re looking into this seriously. They’ve got a few leads and are working hard to figure it all out.
He also said the victim is getting support from the police. They won’t tolerate this kind of behavior and are determined to find those responsible.
They’re in touch with local businesses, including Hollywood Bowl, to tackle any anti-social behavior that pops up.
Atkin urged people not to share any videos of the incident on social media, as it could mess with their investigation. Instead, he asked anyone with info to reach out directly.
Four girls, aged 17, 15, and two who are 14, have been questioned for assault. One is still in custody, while the others are out on bail with strict conditions.
A spokesperson for Hollywood Bowl said they take guest safety very seriously. They’re working with the police and wish the victim and her family all the best.
If anyone knows anything, they should call the police at 101 and mention reference 42/1343/25.
