Hamza Amri, 29, was at the Poole magistrates’ court facing charges for assault and having a knife. He pleaded guilty, by the way.

While he was on the barge, he got a weekly allowance of just £9.10. But there he was, rocking those Nike Air Max Plus trainers, jeans, and a hoodie. Quite the look, huh?

So, here’s the scoop: Amri got into a fight with another asylum seeker because he thought the guy was being inappropriate with his wife at a birthday party last June.

He was staying on the barge in Portland Port but traveled over 40 miles to Bournemouth for the party. Not sure how he made that trip, though.

During the party, he claimed that Kamal Iamranene, the victim, was acting inappropriately towards his wife. Things escalated after the party.

Amri cycled to the hotel where Iamranene was staying, hid a knife under a traffic cone, and called him outside. Talk about a dramatic entrance!

Once outside, they started arguing, and Amri ended up knocking Iamranene out with a punch. Then he picked up the knife and waved it around. Yikes!

He needed an Arabic interpreter in court, and now he’s living at the Britannia Hotel in Bournemouth since the Bibby Stockholm closed.

The Bibby Stockholm used to house a bunch of asylum seekers, but the government decided to shut it down after the election last July.

During the court session, the prosecutor laid out the details. Amri showed up at the hotel on his bike, hid the knife, and then called Iamranene out.

After the punch, hotel staff came out, and Amri tried to hide the knife. Iamranene ended up in the hospital with a cut lip and some bleeding.

Amri’s lawyer said he acted out because of what happened at the party. The magistrates are holding off on sentencing for now, and Amri is out on bail until March 4.

Oh, and a Home Office spokesperson mentioned that foreign criminals can expect to be deported if they commit crimes. The Bibby Stockholm is set to leave Portland soon, too.
