The beloved Honeycomb & Co in Edinburgh will close as its owner retires, but the business will continue under new management.
Edinburgh: Big news for food lovers! Honeycomb & Co is closing its doors as the owner retires. But don’t worry, it’s not the end. The restaurant will be taken over by Peter and Steph Borgen-Nielsen, who run Pantry Edinburgh and two Hula Juice Bar spots in the city. No jobs will be lost, which is great to hear!
This cozy spot in Bruntsfield has been a favorite since 2017. Ian D’Annunzio-Green, the Executive Director, shared how proud he is of what they’ve built. They’ve created a lovely community and supported local businesses along the way.
Even through the tough times of Covid, they managed to keep things going strong. Ian is excited to see the place reopen as Pantry Edinburgh, and he’s thrilled that his team will be joining the new owners. They can’t wait to welcome back all the familiar faces!
Steph Nielsen from Hula Group expressed how honored they are to take over such a beloved spot. She mentioned that they’re all about fresh food and creating a welcoming atmosphere. They’re eager to keep the good vibes going and bring their signature brunch and coffee to the neighborhood.
Honeycomb & Co will stay open until January 19, 2025, and they’re even bringing back some classic dishes for everyone to enjoy one last time. So, if you’re a fan, make sure to stop by before it changes hands!
