Shocking footage shows a banned driver crashing his car into a wall after a high-speed police chase in Bradford, reaching speeds of 100mph.
Bradford: A wild scene unfolded when a car flipped over after crashing into a wall during a police chase. The footage is pretty shocking.
It shows Liam Woods, a 25-year-old banned driver, losing control of his VW Golf. He was speeding through Bradford, reaching up to 100mph before the crash.
Woods, who had a history of dangerous driving, was wanted by the police when this all went down. He even bragged about how he could have outrun the cops if he knew the area better.
During the chase, he ran red lights and drove recklessly, putting other drivers at risk. The court heard he hit another car while speeding through a narrow road.
After the crash, Woods tried to escape but was caught nearby. He was pretty cocky about it, saying he would have “smoked” the police if he had a better sense of direction.
He ended up pleading guilty to several charges and got a 16-month prison sentence. The judge made it clear that his driving was extremely dangerous and could have led to serious injuries or worse.
Now, Woods is banned from driving for over two years and will have to pass a tough driving test if he ever wants to get behind the wheel again.
