Philip Serrell faced an unexpected slap from a Yorkshire farmer during a tense negotiation over a wooden table on Antiques Road Trip
Yorkshire: So, you won’t believe what happened to Philip Serrell on Antiques Road Trip! He was out hunting for antiques when he got slapped by a farmer. Can you imagine? It all started when Philip was trying to haggle over a wooden table.
He was joking around, even thought about buying a horse, but then he made a comment about needing a “translator” for the farmer’s accent. That didn’t sit well with the farmer at all. Philip tried to explain himself, but it just got worse.
He took a jab at the farmer’s table, saying it was just an old top on new legs. The farmer wasn’t having any of it and insisted it was authentic. They went back and forth, with Philip offering £25, but instead of a handshake, he got a slap on the hand!
Philip was shocked and asked, “What did you do that for?” Meanwhile, Tim Wonnacott, who was narrating, just said, “He had his reasons.” It was quite the scene!
By the way, Philip recently shared that he had hip replacement surgery and is feeling great. He even joked about being “turbo-charged” now. So, it seems like he’s doing well despite the slap!
