Dr Punam Krishan shares her journey with self-belief and future plans
Cardiff: Dr Punam Krishan, known from BBC Morning Live and Strictly Come Dancing, has opened up about her struggles with imposter syndrome. She’s been feeling like she’s not as confident as people think.
At 41, she recently danced with Gorka Márquez on Strictly 2024, performing a Bollywood number for the first time on the show. It was a big moment for her!
Dr Punam shared that being on Strictly has really pushed her to embrace new opportunities and work on her self-belief. She mentioned, “I think people see me and assume I’m super confident, but I’m really working on my self-belief.”
Looking ahead to 2025, she’s all about saying yes to whatever comes her way. She’s excited about her book projects and her work on BBC Morning Live, saying she’ll take a peek at any doors that open for her.
Even though she’s got a packed schedule, she won’t be joining the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing Live! tour. She explained that balancing her NHS job with the tour just wouldn’t work out. But she’s looking forward to cheering on her friends who are participating!
Dr Punam also teamed up with Gas Safe Register to raise awareness about carbon monoxide poisoning. She’s urging people to recognize the symptoms, which can often be confused with colds. It’s a serious issue, especially since many younger folks don’t know how to spot the signs.
She’s been a doctor for nearly 20 years and emphasizes the importance of being aware of carbon monoxide risks. It’s crucial for everyone to have alarms in their homes and know what to look out for.
