The documentary explores the tragic events of the 7/7 bombings, including the story of Anne Moffatt from Old Harlow
London: It’s been twenty years since those awful bombings shook England. BBC Two is set to air a documentary called 7/7: The London Bombings. It dives deep into the attacks and what happened afterward.
One of the victims was Anne Moffatt, who lived in Old Harlow. She was just 48 when she lost her life on July 7, 2005, in a tragic incident on the underground.
Anne was born in Scotland and worked as a communications manager for Girlguiding UK. Her story is a heartbreaking reminder of that day.
The documentary, made by the same team behind the acclaimed 9/11 Inside: The President’s War Room, will air on January 5 and 6 at 9 PM. You can also catch it on BBC iPlayer.
On that fateful day, four bombs went off in London, killing 52 people and injuring hundreds. It was a chaotic time for the city and its emergency services.
This series takes a close look at the investigation, showing how the police worked tirelessly to find the bombers. It also highlights the experiences of survivors and first responders during the crisis.
