A former Prezzo in Beaconsfield could be transformed into a Wetherspoons pub, pending council approval of submitted plans.
Prezzo closed for good back in 2021. Plans came to the council in 2022. They wanted to turn Prezzo into a pub. The building was for sale in 2023, costing about £2 million on Rightmove.
The plans ask to change use from a restaurant to a public house. The pub also gets an outside terrace. They plan a balustrade and will enclose a ground floor terrace in the back. A first floor extension is also in the plans, needing a new flat roof area.
The plans involve changing the inside, reconfiguring some smaller rooms to create space. They want a kitchen and will add a cooled store on the ground floor.
The bar will also be on the ground floor, serving a big customer area. A glass wash area and an office are also in the plans. The pub needs an accessible toilet, and stairs go to the first floor. A separate apartment gets its own stairs. New doors open to pavement seating.
They will remove the central lift and then level the floor in that space. Find plan PL/25/0029/FA on the Buckinghamshire Council portal. We asked Wetherspoons for more facts.
