The Wharton Arms in Bedlington will be auctioned off at SDL Property Auctions in January, attracting potential buyers.
Bedlington: The Wharton Arms, a pub on Ridge Terrace, is going up for auction at the end of January. SDL Property Auctions is handling the sale, and it’s set to kick off at 9am on January 30.
If you’re interested, you’ll need to get your registration form in by 5pm the day before. The property features a pub on the ground floor and a four-bedroom apartment above, making it quite a catch.
They’re calling it a “substantial property” in a prime location right in Bedlington Town Centre. It’s surrounded by other pubs, bars, and eateries, plus schools and shops are nearby, so there’s plenty of potential for different uses.
While it offers spacious accommodation, it does need a bit of light modernisation. Just a heads up, the property is being sold let, but the receivers don’t have a Tenancy Agreement and aren’t collecting rent.
It’s a freehold sale with an EPC rating of C. If you’re thinking of bidding, make sure to do your homework first, as the auction will be binding.
Keep in mind that there are fees involved, including a 10% deposit, with a minimum of £5,000, and a Buyers Fee of 1.2% of the purchase price, with a minimum of £1,500 including VAT.
There might be extra fees listed in the Special Conditions of Sale, so it’s wise to check the Legal Pack before you jump in.
