Worcestershire: So, the latest school performance figures are out, and they show how kids are doing as they finish primary school. At the end of year 6, children are assessed, and it’s a big deal.
This year, 61% of kids across England hit the expected standards in reading, writing, and maths. But in Worcestershire, that number was a bit lower at 57%. So, which schools are really shining?
Let’s dive into the top performers! Tied for first place are Hanley Swan St Gabriel’s with St Mary’s Church of England Primary School and Inkberrow Primary School. A whopping 88% of their students met the expected standards!
Next up, we have Beaconside Primary and Nursery School, Holy Redeemer Catholic Primary School, and Malvern Wyche Church of England Primary School, all coming in third with 86% of their pupils meeting the mark.
Sutton Park Primary School takes the sixth spot, with 83% of kids reaching the expected standard. Not too shabby! Claines Church of England Primary School and Tenbury Church of England Primary School follow closely behind, with 80% of their students meeting the requirements.
Finally, in joint-ninth place, we have Clent Parochial Primary School and St Wulstan’s Catholic Primary School, where 79% of pupils hit the expected standard. It’s great to see so many schools doing well!
