A beloved Birmingham charity shop has closed its doors after three years of community support and kindness
Birmingham: A charity shop that really made a difference has shut down after three amazing years. The YMCA Northfield shop closed last week, and they thanked everyone for their support.
This shop was located in the Northfield Shopping Centre and opened in the summer of 2021. They sold all sorts of second-hand goodies, from high street to designer clothes, shoes, books, and more.
The final day was January 4, and the YMCA expressed their gratitude to everyone who donated, shopped, or volunteered. Now, the closest YMCA shop for Northfield folks is in Chelmsley Wood.
In their statement, YMCA shared how sad they were to close the Northfield shop after all the good it did for the community. Thanks to donations and shoppers, they raised important funds for local projects.
They also mentioned that while the shop is gone, YMCA is still active in the area, hoping to see everyone at the Chelmsley Wood location soon.
YMCA is dedicated to helping young people and communities, and they wanted to highlight the positive impact the Northfield shop had during its time.
George Bradley, the area manager, added that the shop played a big role in the community, offering affordable items while supporting local youth programs.
They wrapped up by thanking everyone for their generosity, which truly made a difference in many lives.
