Authorities discovered the bodies of a British woman and her fiancé in a tourist villa in Vietnam, raising questions about their deaths.
Hội An: It’s a tragic story coming out of Vietnam. A British woman and her fiancé were found dead in a tourist villa. The police reported that the bodies were discovered in separate rooms.
The victims were identified as Greta Marie Otteson, 33, and Arno Els Quinton, 36. They had been staying at the villa in Quang Nam province since July last year.
Villa staff found the bodies around 11:18 AM on December 26. Greta was found on her bed, while Arno was in another room, both in similar positions.
Initial investigations showed no signs of trauma or forced entry. It seems they were just enjoying their time there, but it’s still unclear what happened.
There were several empty alcohol bottles at the scene, which might be relevant. Greta worked in social media marketing and had previously lived in Dubai, while Arno was a barista.
The UK’s Foreign Office is in touch with local authorities and is supporting Greta’s family during this tough time. A friend of Arno shared a heartfelt message online, remembering him as a fierce and loving friend.
