A body has been found in Plymouth during the search for Lacey Lake, who vanished after being seen in a taxi
Plymouth: So, there’s been a really sad turn of events. A body was found while searching for a young woman named Lacey Lake. She was just 24 and was last seen getting into a taxi on Friday evening.
She was in a grey Mercedes, and then, poof, she vanished. Her family reported her missing the next day when they couldn’t reach her. It’s just heartbreaking.
The police found the body in north Plymouth today, but they haven’t confirmed who it is yet. They’re treating the death as “unexplained,” but they don’t think anything suspicious happened.
They got a call around 1:20 PM about concerns for a woman’s welfare in Linton Close. Sadly, when paramedics arrived, they pronounced her dead at the scene.
Lacey’s family has been informed, but they’re still waiting for formal identification. It’s been tough for them, especially since Lacey is a Type 1 diabetic and didn’t have her insulin when she went missing.
There was a plea on Facebook from a friend asking anyone with info to come forward. It’s just so alarming that her phone was still on, but her location services were turned off.
