Edinburgh: A man who claimed to be Brad Pitt’s body double has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for a series of sexual assaults. Luke Ford, 35, was found guilty of abusing nine women, including six rapes.

The High Court in Edinburgh heard shocking details about his crimes, including a case of “stealthing,” where he removed a condom without consent. This is the first prosecution for stealthing in Scotland, which has gained attention recently.

Ford received a 21-year extended sentence, with 16 years to be served in custody. He’s now on the sex offenders register for life. Ford, who lived in Stirling, had claimed to be a stand-in for Brad Pitt in the film “World War Z,” filmed in Glasgow.

He targeted women on dating apps, initially charming them before manipulating and abusing them. One victim described him as obsessed with Brad Pitt, saying he thought he could be the next big star.

In one instance, he met a psychologist on Tinder and agreed to use protection. However, he later admitted he hadn’t used the condom, leaving her feeling violated and shocked.

When she expressed concern about a possible pregnancy, he dismissed her worries and told her to take the morning-after pill. This case highlights the serious issue of consent and the need for accountability for such actions.

Scotland’s procurator fiscal emphasized that Ford showed no respect for his victims’ consent and used manipulation and threats to carry out his abuse. She hopes the victims find some relief in his conviction.
