Bramley: The Barca-Leeds Young People’s Voice and Influence Group just wrapped up their first winter fundraiser. They organized a Christmas raffle and managed to raise an impressive £981.

All the money will go towards creating care packages for folks facing homelessness. The group, made up of teens aged 12 to 17, noticed more people living on the streets in their area and wanted to help out.

With a little guidance from Barca’s youth workers, they gathered donated prizes and spread the word in local spots. The Housing Navigators team at Barca is also pitching in, suggesting useful items for the care packages.

They’re even meeting with the young people to explain how they help those without homes and the best ways to get these packages to those who need them most. It’s heartwarming to see young folks stepping up for their community!
