A British father has been missing in Tenerife for 19 days after his last call from a pub raised concerns for his safety
Tenerife: A British dad named Paul Wrigglesworth has been missing for 19 days. He made a FaceTime call to his family from a pub in Los Cristianos on December 16 and hasn’t been seen since.
Paul, who is 60, arrived in Tenerife at the end of November. His family is really worried, especially since his phone has been offline since December 22. They fear he might be sleeping rough somewhere.
His son Mark is asking anyone with information to reach out, whether it’s good or bad news. A local missing persons group has also stepped in to help with the search.
The Foreign Office mentioned they’re supporting a British man in a hospital in Tenerife and are in touch with his family. This situation comes after another British man was found last month after going missing on the island.
That man, Kris Finney, had been reported missing after not contacting anyone for days. He was eventually found by a local shopkeeper who helped him out when he was in a tough spot.
There’s also been concern over the disappearance of a British teenager, Jay Slater, who went missing in Tenerife over the summer. His case involved a massive search effort, but sadly, he was later found deceased.
