New Orleans: A tragic incident unfolded when a British man was killed in a terror attack. Edward Pettifer, 31, from Chelsea, London, died after a truck crashed into a crowd celebrating New Year’s Eve.

The attack happened on Bourbon Street, where an army veteran, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, drove his truck into revelers. He had even attached an Islamic State flag to the vehicle.

Edward suffered blunt force injuries and was one of 14 victims in this horrific event. His family is heartbroken, expressing their devastation over his loss.

They shared how much he meant to them, calling him a wonderful son and friend. Their thoughts are also with the other families affected by this tragedy.

The Metropolitan Police are coordinating with local authorities to bring Edward’s body back home. President Biden condemned the attack, stating Jabbar was inspired by ISIS and had a desire to kill.

Among the other victims was 18-year-old Nikyra Dedeaux, who had dreams of becoming a nurse. Reggie Hunter, a father of two, was also caught in the chaos after deciding to join the festivities.

Former football player Tiger Bech, 27, and 27-year-old Nicole Perez were also named among the deceased. Jabbar acted alone and had served in the Army before this tragic incident.
