Bryan Kohberger, linked to the Idaho student murders, was previously investigated for a home invasion a year prior to the tragic events
Moscow: So, it turns out Bryan Kohberger, the guy accused of killing those four University of Idaho students, was also looked at for a home invasion a year before that awful incident.
According to a report, police had body camera footage from a burglary near the university. A woman said a masked guy with a knife sneaked into her bedroom. Yikes, right?
She managed to fight him off, and her roommate called 911, but they never caught the guy. The woman described how she kicked him and screamed, which is pretty brave if you ask me.
Initially, Kohberger was a person of interest in that home invasion, especially since it was so similar to the murders. Detectives were looking for any links, like fingerprints or DNA, to connect him to that break-in.
But here’s the twist: the victim said the intruder was shorter than Kohberger, who stands at 6 feet tall. So, he’s no longer on the radar for that case, but the real intruder is still out there.
As for Kohberger, he’s facing serious charges for the murders of Kaylee, Madison, Xana, and Ethan back in November 2022. He was arrested about six weeks later and has pleaded not guilty.
His trial is coming up in August, and there’s a chance he could face the death penalty if convicted, even though his lawyers are arguing against that. It’s a pretty intense situation all around.
