Three men have been sentenced for a series of burglaries, including a cash machine heist using a stolen JCB in Essex
Harwich: So, three guys just got locked up for some wild crimes. They actually used a stolen JCB to rip a cash machine right off the wall of a Home Bargains store. Can you believe that?
These fellas, Shane Hadderton, Marvin Usher, and Deividas Fiodorovas, were sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court. They were up to no good last April, hitting multiple homes in Essex and Hertfordshire.
On the night of April 7, they swiped a pick-up truck and a JCB from different spots. Then, they went full-on ram raid mode, using the JCB to yank the cash machine off the wall and load it onto their truck.
What’s crazy is that the ATM was found later at a golf club nearby, still packed with £55,000 in cash! Talk about a big score, but it didn’t end well for them.
They also broke into a house in Harwich, stealing loads of cash and tools, plus a couple of vehicles. And it didn’t stop there; they hit another place for over £20,000 worth of jewelry just 25 minutes after the owner left!
In one last burglary, they even held a victim in the bathroom while they cleaned out the place of over £120,000 in valuables. Just wild!
When they got caught in May, they faced serious charges. Fiodorovas got the longest sentence, over six years, while Hadderton and Usher got three years and two years, respectively.
After the sentencing, a detective said the impact on the victims was huge, not just financially but emotionally too. It’s a relief that these guys are off the streets now, and hopefully, the victims can start to heal from this mess.
