Tributes pour in for Thomas Taylor, a popular 17-year-old fatally stabbed in Bedford
Bedford: A tragic incident unfolded when a well-liked teenager was fatally stabbed near a bus station. Thomas Taylor, just 17, was attacked by a group of guys while walking along Greenhill Street.
It was around 5:50 PM on Wednesday when the attack happened. Thomas was rushed to the hospital but sadly didn’t make it. His school, Bedford Academy, is in shock over the loss.
His headteacher, Chris Deller, spoke highly of him, saying he was a respected student who had done well in his exams. The school community is heartbroken and focused on supporting Thomas’s family during this tough time.
Police are treating this as a murder case and have cordoned off several areas in the town center. Detective Chief Inspector Katie Dounias is leading the investigation and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
She mentioned that there are videos and images circulating on social media and asked people not to share them but to report any information to the police instead.
Superintendent Hob Hoque reassured residents that they will increase patrols in the area, emphasizing that knife crime is unacceptable in their community. They’re working hard to find those responsible for this shocking act.
