A Camden man faces multiple charges after a hit-and-run left two pedestrians injured in north London on New Year’s Day
Camden: A man from Camden is in some serious trouble after a hit-and-run on New Year’s Day. It all went down in north London, just after midnight. The police got calls about a car hitting a pedestrian.
So, this guy, Daniel Sterling, who’s 40, has been charged with a bunch of things. We’re talking dangerous driving, assault, and even having a knife in public. Not a good look!
The crash happened at the busy junction of Regent’s Park Road and Primrose Hill. Apparently, after hitting one pedestrian, he didn’t stop and kept going, hitting another person along the way.
One of the victims, a 21-year-old, got away with just minor injuries. The other guy, a 59-year-old, had to be taken to the hospital, but thankfully, his injuries weren’t life-threatening.
Daniel, who lives on Well Walk in Camden, is set to appear in court today. The police were already in the area for New Year’s Eve, so they quickly found the car not far from the scene.
They arrested him on suspicion of dangerous driving and causing serious harm. Luckily, the injuries weren’t too severe, and they’re not treating this as a terrorist incident. An investigation is still ongoing, though.
