The footage shows this masked guy just stuffing all sorts of expensive jewellery and designer bags into a backpack. It’s wild! A family spokesperson said the burglar moved “like a cat,” which is kind of eerie, right?
At the time, the family was home, and they almost caught him when he tried to escape. He was after the belongings of Shafira Huang, a Hong Kong socialite, who wasn’t there but is now offering a £1.5 million reward for info.
Apparently, the thief first tried to break in through the second floor but couldn’t get in. He then climbed onto the roof and squeezed through a bathroom window. Talk about determination!
He was so confident that he left £300 just sitting on a desk. Can you believe that? The family was having a meeting in the basement when they heard some banging, which they now think was the burglar.
In the footage, he’s seen wandering around, struggling to open cases, and then finally loading up his backpack. It’s pretty terrifying to think he was in the same hallway as a maid just a minute apart!
