Chef Nisha Katona is set to star in a new ITV series, showing home cooks simple and local dishes from her Wirral farm this February.
ITV1, STV, ITVX, and STV Player ordered the series last year. Nisha is the founder of Mowgli Street Food, and her restaurant is in Cheshire Oaks.
She cooks favorite dishes for viewers at home. Local ingredients star in her recipes, some of which come from her own garden.
Nisha Katona’s Home Kitchen has ten episodes, and each episode runs for sixty minutes. ITV and STV will air it February 8 at 11:40 am.
Nisha shared news of the show on Instagram. She said it was a “preposterous blessing,” and that ITV trusts her with her dream cooking show.
Her simplest recipes appear on the show. She films amid chaos at her Wirral farm; where her animals and family join her, celebrating local life.
She opened five Mowgli Street Food restaurants last year, and juggling family, home, and work was hard. Consequently, she left Great British Menu, missing that crew.
She is happy about this new opportunity. As one door closes, another opens; and this new door leads to “lush green pastures.”
