A three-year-old girl narrowly escaped an abduction attempt in Wolverhampton, prompting police to seek public assistance in identifying the suspect
Wolverhampton: So, there was this really scary incident where a man tried to grab a three-year-old girl right outside her home. It happened in the West Midlands, and the police are on it.
They even released a blurry photo of the guy. Apparently, it all went down around 5:15 PM on Leicester Street. The little girl was outside with a relative when this man tried to pick her up.
Luckily, her mom was there and stopped him before anything could happen. The guy took off towards Harrow Street, and thankfully, the child wasn’t hurt.
The police are treating this as an isolated case for now, but they’re taking it seriously. They described the suspect as mixed race, in his 20s to 30s, about 5’9″, with short curly dark hair and brown eyes.
Detective Inspector Nicola Pestel said they’re moving quickly to find this guy. They’re asking anyone in the area to check their doorbell cameras or dashcams for any footage that might help.
If anyone knows anything, they should reach out to West Midlands Police. It’s a pretty shocking situation, and they want to make sure everyone feels safe.
