Local organizations in Christchurch receive crucial funding to support community initiatives and enhance local services
Christchurch: The town has just handed out £10,000 in funding to local groups through its community grants program. It’s great to see support for initiatives that really make a difference.
The Christchurch Carnival committee got £1,000, which is awesome for their upcoming events. The local guides also received £850 to buy new tents and camping gear, so they’re all set for their adventures.
A spokesperson mentioned that these grants show how committed Christchurch is to building a lively and inclusive community. It’s all about helping various projects that benefit everyone, from kids to seniors.
Other groups also got some love. Bournemouth Above and Beyond received £400 for food supplies, while the Christchurch Community Partnership got £1,000 for their project aimed at reducing social isolation.
Plus, the Christchurch Life Saving Club is updating their gear with another £1,000, and Friends of Druitt Garden are getting £600 for a projector for community talks. It’s all about bringing people together.
National Coastwatch Institute is installing a fancy camera with their £500 grant, and Highcliffe Charity Players are using £500 for costumes for their pantomime. It’s nice to see the arts getting support too!
Honeypot Children’s Charity is using £500 for breaks and gifts for young carers, while Life Education Wessex & Thames Valley got £400 for health education in schools. Mudeford Cricket Club also received £500 for youth equipment.
Running costs are covered for Mudeford Guide Hall with £1,000, and Park Yoga is getting £250 for a yoga instructor. Prama Life is supporting dementia groups with £500, and the Phoenix Widowers’ Group received £1,000 for their expenses.
