Cyffylliog: Residents are scratching their heads over a so-called “ghost Aldi.” This phantom supermarket has become a magnet for confused tourists and delivery drivers.

Maps show an Aldi on a winding lane, but it doesn’t exist. People have been trying to find it, only to end up lost. Just last week, a milk tanker got stuck while searching for this elusive store.

Photos on social media show the poor lorry wedged in a way that blocked the road completely. Locals were warned that the road could be blocked for hours. One resident even shared a photo, saying the driver was misled by his sat nav.

The situation has sparked frustration among locals. They’ve been dealing with a constant stream of confused visitors. One person pointed out that a prankster had pinned the fake Aldi location on Google Maps.

After the lorry incident, the ghost Aldi has finally been removed from the map. It’s not listed on Aldi’s website either, but the store has been contacted for a comment.
