BP has admitted there’s a problem with a tank at that location and they’re looking into it. A local guy who helps drain fuel said he’s been super busy, getting called out about 40 times since Monday.
Lee Pretlove, the fuel guy, mentioned that his phone has been ringing off the hook. He’s dealt with around 40 cars already, and more keep coming in. Sounds like a real headache!
He suspects the issue might be from water getting mixed in with the petrol. That’s a big no-no for engines. He even thinks up to 100 cars could be affected. Yikes!
One poor customer had five vans break down. Can you imagine running a business and having all your vans out of commission? He must be fuming!
BP said they’re on it, trying to figure out how many people are impacted. They’ve even shut the garage for a bit but reopened it later, keeping the dodgy pump out of service.
