Richard Faulkner, 70, is jailed after breaching a court order. Police discovered indecent images of children on his devices in Wouldham, UK.
Some pictures found were the worst kind. Faulkner lived near Wouldham High Street. He could only use the internet with special software. It watches what he looks at online.
The software sent police alerts. It showed Faulkner accessed illegal things online. This happened seven months after the order started. Police arrested him soon after this alert. They searched his house and found more devices. He hadn’t told police about these extra devices.
He went to court in Maidstone this week. Faulkner first said he did nothing wrong. He said he didn’t like kids anymore this way. He claimed to know nothing about the images. But experts checked his devices and found many files.
They found hundreds of thousands of bad images. Over 160 of them were really terrible. He admitted he broke the order and made indecent images. Faulkner also didn’t tell police about his bank cards. He broke another rule.
Faulkner got three years in prison. This includes a sentence he already had. It had been put on hold before.
Sergeant Steph Kirkin talked about the case. She said Faulkner tried to trick the software. He was hiding that he looked at awful images of abused kids. She wants people to know these orders protect kids. Police will make sure people who break them get punished.
