A court has issued a ban on a notorious shoplifter from all Greggs locations in the county
Northampton: A notorious shoplifter has been banned from every Greggs in Northamptonshire after a series of thefts. Tashaun Pink, 36, was caught stealing from the bakery multiple times.
He didn’t just stop at theft; he also assaulted a police officer who came to investigate one of his shoplifting incidents. This all went down last September when he was reported for stealing.
Pink faced a total of 18 charges, including assaulting an emergency worker and several thefts. He was sentenced to 48 weeks in jail after admitting to his crimes, which took place over a couple of months.
Along with his jail time, he received a three-year criminal behavior order. This means he can’t enter any Greggs or Spar stores in the county. He’s also banned from the town center and has to keep receipts for any items he buys.
Inspector Nicola Davis-Lyons from the local police said Pink’s actions caused a lot of fear among staff and customers. She emphasized that the police will take strong action against repeat offenders like him.
Pink’s case shows that there are serious consequences for such behavior. The police are making sure everyone knows about the restrictions placed on him to prevent future offenses.
