An inquest has begun into the tragic death of a young man following a road accident, with a driver arrested in connection with the incident
Onchan: A driver has been arrested after a tragic accident that claimed the life of a 22-year-old. The inquest into Robert Kissack’s death has just started.
This sad event took place around 3:30 AM on Whitebridge Road, close to the Manx Fun Barn. Family members were present at the Douglas Courthouse for the inquest.
Coroner James Brooks shared that the driver and two passengers tried to help Robert after the accident. Sadly, he was taken to Noble’s Hospital but didn’t make it.
Detective Chief Inspector Michelle McKillop confirmed that the driver is currently on police bail while investigations are ongoing. It’s a tough time for everyone involved.
