The family of a baby girl killed in a car accident pays tribute as the driver faces charges
Tenby: A heartbreaking incident unfolded when a six-month-old baby girl, Sophia Kelemen, tragically lost her life after being struck by a car in a multi-story car park. The driver, Flaviu Naghi, 33, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Sophia was visiting the seaside town with her family when the accident happened. She was hit by a Nissan Qashqai on January 2 and was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, she passed away the next day.
Her aunt, Adriana, shared how Sophia was a joyful and playful baby, always smiling and eager to explore. It’s devastating for the family to think they won’t get to see her grow up.
Adriana has started a fundraiser to help with funeral costs, expressing that no one can truly prepare for such a loss. Another friend has also set up a campaign to help bring Sophia back to Romania, where her family is from.
Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed the tragic news and stated that the family is receiving support from specially trained officers. The community has come together, sharing heartfelt tributes and messages of support for Sophia and her family during this incredibly difficult time.
