A Cardiff drug dealer profited nearly £700,000 but will only repay a fraction of that amount after a court ruling
Cardiff: A drug dealer named Klodian Zefi made a staggering £692,000 from his role in an organized crime group. But guess what? He’s only been told to pay back £51,000. Crazy, right?
This group was all about distributing huge amounts of cocaine across south Wales. Zefi, who’s 36, was caught up in this mess, trading nearly £600,000 worth of cocaine and £175,000 worth of cannabis. Police found a cannabis farm in Lampeter, where the drugs could’ve been worth over £500,000!
They called it Operation Bluebell. During the investigation, police seized a ton of stuff: about £100,000 in cash, around 1,000 cannabis plants, and a bunch of drug paraphernalia. Detective Sergeant Peter Kelly mentioned that Zefi and his crew were busy supplying cocaine in Cardiff, Swansea, and Port Talbot.
Gregory Hardy was the big boss of the Swansea crew, running operations from a business unit in Gorseinon. When they searched the place, they found a hydraulic press and other drug-related items. It was a real operation!
Elon Joseph was often seen visiting Hardy’s unit and meeting with other members. They even set up that cannabis farm in Lampeter, with Bardhok Bardhoj taking care of the plants. David Price and Qazim Hodollari were couriers, moving drugs and cash around the area.
Things got even messier when Mirsad Nerguti, based in London, got involved. He was linked to a cocaine seizure when one of the crew members was caught with two kilograms of the stuff. Talk about a tangled web!
Zefi was sentenced to 14 years in prison last January. At a recent court hearing, it was revealed he benefited £692,273 from his crimes, but he only has £51,000 in assets. The judge ordered him to pay that amount, which the police already seized. What a wild story!
