A drug dealer was caught after his designer manbag led police to him following a fatal street stabbing in London
Hounslow: So, there was this crazy incident where a drug dealer named Dualla Abdi, just 20 years old, stabbed a guy named Tyreece Scott, who was 24. It all went down in the middle of the night last January.
Abdi was carrying this fancy Louis Vuitton-style manbag when he attacked Scott. He tried to ditch his clothes after the stabbing but couldn’t let go of that bag, which ended up being a key piece of evidence.
After a trial, Abdi was found guilty of murder and having a knife. His buddy, Ben Laing, who drove the getaway car, was also found guilty. They both made a real mess of things.
Two other guys, Reda Mohamed and Morgan Allen, got in trouble too for helping Abdi and Laing escape to Morocco. But they were caught when they came back to the UK a few days later.
The prosecutor explained that this whole thing was about drug turf wars. Scott was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it cost him his life.
There was a lot of evidence against them, like CCTV footage and phone data. Abdi was wearing a black hoodie and that distinctive manbag when he did the deed, which made it easy for the police to track him down.
Even after everything, Abdi claimed he wasn’t the one who stabbed Scott, while Laing said he didn’t know anything was going to happen. But the jury wasn’t buying it.
After the verdict, it came out that Abdi had a previous conviction for carrying a knife. The sentencing is set for February 27, so we’ll see what happens next.
