A 19-year-old man is in custody after a kidnapping and attempted murder in Harlow, Essex, with police investigating the incidents as connected
Harlow: A man is in custody after a serious incident involving a kidnapping and attempted murder. It all went down yesterday afternoon when a 17-year-old boy was reportedly forced into a blue car on Terminus Street.
Fast forward a couple of hours, and paramedics were called to Staple Tye Shopping Centre. They found a man in his 30s with some pretty severe injuries. He was treated on the scene and then rushed to the hospital, where he’s still in serious condition, but thankfully, his injuries are no longer life-threatening.
Police arrested a 19-year-old man from Harlow early this morning on suspicion of both kidnap and attempted murder. He’s still being held for questioning.
Sergeant Simon Roissetter reassured the public that there’s no wider threat. He mentioned that officers are working hard on the case and will be visible in the area while they continue their investigations. If anyone has information or dashcam footage of that blue vehicle, they’re encouraged to reach out.
