A brave landscaping crew intervened to protect a 14-year-old boy from a violent attack in Eastwood
Eastwood: A 14-year-old boy was attacked by a group of thugs, but thankfully, some good Samaritans stepped in to help. Bobby Loveday, who runs a landscaping business in Southend, rushed over with two of his workers when they heard the commotion.
The boy ended up with a black eye and bruises, which kept him home from school the next day. His mom is incredibly grateful to Bobby, calling him a “hero” for his quick action.
The incident took place on Rayleigh Road around 3:15 PM on Tuesday. The boy’s mom expressed her relief, saying, “If it wasn’t for Bobby and his two workers, I hate to think about what could have happened.”
She emphasized how brave it was for them to confront four attackers wearing balaclavas. “I owe it to him for what he did to save my son,” she said, clearly shaken but thankful.
The mom also mentioned that her son isn’t a troublemaker and couldn’t figure out why he was targeted. Bobby, a dad himself, shared his disgust at the situation and felt compelled to help.
“We scared them off,” he said, recalling how they shouted to intimidate the attackers. He was relieved that the boy made it home safely and not to the hospital.
Bobby and his crew noticed the chaos while unloading their truck and immediately jumped into action. He confirmed that the police have been informed about the attack.
