Authorities are investigating the discovery of an elderly woman’s body in a canal and are asking for public assistance.
Brighouse: This morning, police found a woman’s body in a canal, and it’s a pretty sad situation. The emergency services were called after someone spotted her in the water.
They pulled her out, and it turns out she was in her 70s. The police are now looking into what happened. They got the call around 9 am, and it was a bit of a scene with fire crews and paramedics all showing up.
According to the police, they’re trying to figure out how she ended up in the canal. They’ve already identified her and informed her family about this tragic news.
Detective Inspector Jenny Haigh mentioned that they don’t think anything suspicious happened, but they really want to hear from anyone who might have seen her fall in or has any info that could help.
