Elon Musk has made fresh claims against Keir Starmer, demanding the release of Tommy Robinson and criticizing the handling of child abuse cases
London: So, Elon Musk is at it again! He’s been throwing some serious shade at Keir Starmer, the UK Prime Minister. Musk is accusing him of not doing enough about child grooming gangs when he was in charge of prosecutions.
He took to his platform, X, and even called for Jess Phillips, the safeguarding minister, to be jailed for not pushing for a public inquiry into past child abuse cases in Oldham. Plus, he’s demanding that Tommy Robinson, the far-right activist, be freed from prison.
Right after Musk’s comments, Kemi Badenoch, the Tory leader, jumped in, saying it’s high time for a national inquiry into the UK’s “rape gangs scandal.” She believes 2025 should be the year victims finally get some justice.
Musk has had a bit of a back-and-forth with Starmer’s government for a while now. It really heated up during last summer’s riots when Musk claimed civil war was on the horizon for the UK.
In his recent posts, Musk pointed out that serious crimes like rape need the Crown Prosecution Service’s go-ahead for police to charge anyone. He didn’t hold back, saying Starmer was in charge when these gangs were allowed to exploit young girls.
Starmer has tried to defend himself, saying he made changes to how the CPS deals with child sex abuse cases. He also blamed the previous Conservative government for not having a duty to report safeguarding issues.
After Musk’s comments, it was reported that the government turned down requests for a Home Office-led inquiry into historic child abuse in Oldham. Jess Phillips had responded to letters from the Oldham Council about this inquiry.
Ms. Badenoch reiterated that a full national inquiry is long overdue, while Nigel Farage from Reform UK criticized the Conservatives for not acting sooner. Musk has been cozying up to Farage lately, hinting at possible financial support for his party.
Just days before this, Musk had a go at Starmer’s government, saying not many companies would want to invest in the UK under Labour. Downing Street defended Starmer, saying they’ve been working hard to bring stability and investment back to the country.
It’s a wild situation, and it looks like Musk isn’t backing down anytime soon!
