Oldham: So, Elon Musk is at it again, taking shots at Sir Keir Starmer over how the UK government is dealing with the child sex inquiry. He’s been pretty vocal on social media, especially on X, about his frustrations.

Recently, the government turned down a request from Oldham Council to let the Home Office handle an inquiry into child sex trafficking. Musk didn’t hold back, saying that safeguarding minister Jess Phillips should be in prison for her role in this mess.

He even pointed fingers at the Prime Minister, claiming he failed to bring justice to the so-called “rape gangs” when he was in charge of prosecutions. Musk shared a video featuring Andrew Norfolk, a journalist who’s been digging into this issue for years, calling it “State-sponsored evil.”

Norfolk was the one who uncovered the Rotherham child exploitation scandal back in 2011, so he knows what he’s talking about. Musk also slammed the whole situation as “utterly shameful” and questioned why people seem more upset about his comments than the actual abuse of children.

Meanwhile, Kemi Badenoch, the Tory leader, is pushing for a full national inquiry into these grooming gangs, saying it’s way overdue. Phillips acknowledged the strong feelings around this but insisted that it’s up to Oldham Council to decide on an inquiry.

In response, Musk doubled down, saying Phillips deserves prison time. He’s really not holding back, and it’s clear he’s frustrated with the lack of action on such serious crimes.

He also reminded everyone that serious crimes like rape need the Crown Prosecution Service’s approval to charge suspects, and guess who was in charge when these gangs were allowed to operate? Yep, Keir Starmer from 2008 to 2013.

Musk’s been calling Starmer “two-tier Keir,” suggesting there’s no justice for serious crimes but plenty for social media posts. He’s even shown support for Tommy Robinson, who’s been in hot water with the law.

As the conversation heats up, it’s clear that many are demanding justice for the victims of these grooming gangs. The pressure is on the government to take action, and Musk is making sure everyone knows it.

With the Independent Inquiry into Child Sex Abuse wrapping up its work, there’s a lot of talk about what needs to happen next. The government claims it’s working on implementing recommendations, but many are skeptical.

In Oldham, the council is saying that survivors are at the heart of their efforts to tackle child sexual exploitation. They’re promising to prioritize the wishes of the victims, which is a step in the right direction.

But with voices like Musk’s calling for reform and accountability, it’s clear that this issue isn’t going away anytime soon. The community and victims deserve answers and justice, and it looks like the pressure is only going to increase.
