A new DIY store, The Range, is set to open soon in Kings Heath, Birmingham, bringing a variety of home goods to the area
Birmingham: People are buzzing about a new DIY store opening up in Kings Heath. The Range is taking over the old Homebase spot on Findlay Road, and it’s happening later this month.
This store isn’t just about tools; they’ve got everything from bedding to crafts. It’s part of a bigger plan where The Range is opening in several former Homebase locations after that chain went under.
The first batch of new stores is set to kick off on January 17, but we’re still waiting for the exact date for Kings Heath. No word yet on when that will be.
Someone even shared a pic of the new store on a local Facebook group. The old Homebase sign is gone, replaced by The Range’s logo. Exciting stuff!
One local was super happy, saying, “I don’t drive, so this is great for me!” Another chimed in, “Can’t wait to check it out. The Range is awesome!”
There’s a lot of positivity, but some folks are worried about traffic. One resident mentioned, “I hope all these visitors use public transport and don’t clog up our streets.”
Another added, “Good luck finding a spot in that car park!”
