Phoenix: On Christmas night, things took a wild turn at the airport. A family dispute got out of hand, leading to three people getting shot and one person stabbed.

This all went down around 9:45 p.m. near a restaurant in Terminal 4 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. It was outside the security area, which is a bit concerning.

When the police arrived, they found three folks with gunshot wounds. A police sergeant mentioned that a juvenile girl and a man were later detained in the parking garage. The man had at least one stab wound.

All four victims were rushed to the hospital. One woman is in critical condition, while the other two men and the stabbing victim are stable. It’s a relief to hear that.

Authorities believe everyone involved knew each other, but they haven’t interviewed them yet. They’ve recovered weapons, but no charges have been filed as of now.

The police sergeant said it seems like a family dispute that just escalated. It’s pretty scary, especially on Christmas when everyone is just trying to get home.

It’s still unclear if they were traveling or just at the airport for another reason. Thankfully, airport operations are back to normal, and no flights were affected.

Interestingly, during the investigation, a man showed up with a gun after hearing false rumors about an active shooter. He got into a bit of trouble with the police but was detained without further issues.

Overall, the situation seems to be under control now, and the airport is functioning as usual. The police are still looking into what happened, though.
